Roosevelt on Different Minds

March 12th, 2008 · No Comments

Although often in the shadow of her husband, Eleanor Roosevelt made a name for herself, not only as First Lady, but as a thinker and advocate.  She spoke out on civil rights for all citizens before there was a movement.  She was ahead of her time on a lot of issues.

She was known for speaking her mind.  And based on the following quote, she had a pretty good handle on the different types of minds we have in our workplaces–in our lives.

“Great minds discuss ideas.  Average minds discuss events.  Small minds discuss people.”
