If you’ve had a bad week and need a laugh, check out Cultural Offering for a 1969 Johnny Carson show where the entire star-studded lineup is smoking and drinking and George Gobel is delivering one funny one-liner after another.

I regularly provide you with a dose of “Corporate BS.”  Check out this kind of BS in its finest form, courtesy of Workplace Management via theindustryradar.com.

Based on an article in the Wall Street Journal, Bob Sutton Work Matters provides commentary on something needed in most workplaces: civility.

And speaking of that, check out Where Great Workplaces Start for a post on “How to Brand Your Organization as a Great Workplace.”

Continuing with that thought, check out the ABA Journal Newsletter on how to make employees nice even if they aren’t, using an article written by Dallas lawyer Michael Maslanka, editor of the Texas Employment Law Letter.

Whether you have good or bad employees, do you have blogs in your workplace?  Check out the Delaware Employment Law Blog for a summary of what you need to know about this subject.

Execupundit has a thought-provoking post on the concept of “good enough.”

I’ve done my fair share of posts about race and gender issues in light of the presidential campaign.  Check out Jon Hyman for a post on “Deconstructing race, ethnicity, and national origin,” and check out Chris Moander for a post on “The melting pot of humanity.”

Workplace Prof Blog has a post on April 10 reminding all that April 21 kicks off Equal Pay Week, noting further (sarcastically I assume) “the point in 2008 when the average woman’s wages finally catch up with what the average man earned in 2007.”

“Writing well” is a recurring theme for What About Clients?  If there’s one thing employment lawyers and HR professionals need to do more of, it’s write well.

I did a post this week about pictures in the workplace.  In the good ole days, a picture that was often featured in many workplaces was of Marilyn Monroe.  Infamy or Praise blogs about an issue involving her estate–an issue that could indeed have an impact on her picture–which I guess means that neither she nor her picture can rest in peace.

Fear And Loathing–The Gonzo Papers references a great, relaxing site called “What I See Out My Window.”  You should check it out.

Who are the favorite on-screen lawyers?  Take a look at Above the Law.

While we’re on actors, Julie Elgar is back with that’s what she said, as she reviews TV’s popular The Office.

This week, I did a series of what might be called “no shame” posts (click here, here, here and here).  PointofLaw has a post (April 10) called “Law schools and the morality of corporate law” that, it seems to me, ties into my posts.

Want to know the worst places to get sued?  Check out Overlawyered.

And now music for a Saturday in the spring from Cultural Offering.
