Labor Day

September 1, 2008 at 6:04 am by: John Phillips

Today, we celebrate Labor Day.  Although, for most people, it’s probably just a paid holiday, taking a few minutes to think about the meaning of this holiday is worthwhile.  There’s a good summary about Labor Day provided by the U.S. Department of Labor.

While labor unions are inclined to emphasize this holiday, it seems to me that all of us should embrace this day as a way to commemorate the value of work and to honor all employees, union or non-union.
